Properties

TRUPOSYL TBA is a polymer based lubricating and retanning agent designed for use in compact leather processing.

Leathers treated with TRUPOSYL TBA possess excellent softness and fullness, together with outstanding dyeing properties.

TRUPOSYL TBA is ideally suited to the fatliquoring of suede and nubuck leathers where its dry handle allows the leathers to be easily buffed.

Application

TRUPOSYL TBA can also be used to good effect in water-resistant and showerproof leathers. In such applications, level even neutralisation of the chrome leather is imperative in order to optimise water resistance and consistent results.

Fixation with formic acid alone will lead to a certain degree of showerproofing, however, in order to obtain increased water resistance fixation with mineral based tanning agents such as chromium or aluminium will greatly improve the performance characteristics.

TRUPOSYL TBA can be stored for up to one year, if temperatures below 5 °C and above 40 °C can be avoided. On prolonged storage or extremes of temperature TRUPOSYL TBA may exhibit some settlement which can be rectified by either warming and/or stirring the product thoroughly before use.
