Typical properties

TRUPOCRYL RI is an acrylic copolymer fine particle emulsion. The film it produces is soft, with very good elongation and excellent resistance to swelling with water.

TRUPOCRYL RI is compatible with anionic and non-anionic penetrators, as well as with commonly used solvents mixable with water.

Based on TRUPOCRYL RI’s excellent properties, it can be used widely in upholstery finishes, leather for footwear and clothing.

Another important area of use is for impregnating leather with corrected grain, but it can be used with full grain leather just the same always using an appropriate penetrator, such as TRUPODRIVER P.

The special physical-chemical characteristics of the emulsion enable it to normally achieve total and uniform penetration, eliminating re-buffing problems and it does not harm adhesion of subsequent finishing layers.

Applications

Impregnating corrected grain and full grain leather.
As an agent to improve adhesion in preparations for base coats and pre-base coats.
For finishing all types of leather.

Storage: The product can be stored for one year, provided that it is kept at temperatures between 5º C and 40º C.  For prolonged storage or extreme temperatures, the product could undergo a modification in its appearance, which can be rectified by shaking the product carefully before application.
