Properties

TRUPONOL BTK is an economical fatliquor based on sulphited oxidised fish oil.

TRUPONOL BTK can be used on leathers where maximum softness coupled with economy is of prime importance. Leathers fatliquored with TRUPONOL BTK show good softness together with a waxy handle.

When used on vegetable-tanned or retanned leather, TRUPONOL BTK will ensure a well lubricated grain along with good colour.

Application

TRUPONOL BTK can be used to good effect in combination with TRUPON® DXV or BTS for classic shoe upper leather.

Quantities for use will normally range from

2 - 3 % TRUPONOL BTK
4 - 6 % TRUPON DXV / BTS

Safety and storage

When handling TRUPONOL BTK, normal safety precautions associated with the handling of chemicals should be observed. For more specific details please refer to our safety data sheets.

TRUPONOL BTK can be stored for up to one year, if temperatures below 5 °C and above  40 °C can be avoided. On prolonged storage or extremes of temperature TRUPONOL BTKmay exhibit some settlement which can be rectified by either warming and/or stirring the product thoroughly before use.
